February 19, 1957- January 20, 2014
Pat was born to Reid L and Janean Barney in Ogden Utah. At a very early age, it became apparent that she would excel in everything she set her mind to.
She was a great athlete and played almost everything she could. She was a member of the NRA and was an award winning shooter. In high school, she continued to play countless sports and in 1975 became the first-ever female athlete of the year at Springville High, something that she was proud of and all of her kids were proud to tell anyone. She was a true Springville Red Devil. She was also musically talented and played the violin in the high school orchestra, and was self-taught at the piano.
She married her high school sweetheart Daniel Thompson September 12, 1975 and the next year welcomed there first son Durlin; two years later they welcomed their daughter Crystal; and then in three more years had Daniel.
She was a very proud mom supporting her kids in everything they did, never missing a game, play, choir concert or dance recital. She continued to be the same way as a Grandma; going to everything, she could go to, for her 7 grandkids. They are her greatest joy.
She is survived by her husband Daniel, her children Durlin, Crystal and Art Adair, Daniel and Rachael and Matt and Jen Moore. Along with her 7 grandchildren Ashley, Collin (Tuff), Kyleigh, and Cameron Adair; and Tristen, Delores (Delia), and Daniel Thompson Jr.
In addition, both her parents Reid and Janean Barney survive her; and all her brothers and sisters, Roger Barney, Kathy and Brian VanAusdal, Denise and Jeff Cope, Quincy and Scott Bridge, Rick and Cori Barney. Her sisters and brothers in-law: Carol (Mike) McGiffin, Sharon Maynard, Tom and Nancy Thompson, David and Bonnie Thompson, Pamela McCormick, Trisha and Dick Stutte, Bill Thompson, and Winnie and Lisa Thompson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother in-law Winnie Decatur and Delores Louise Thompson, and her sister in-law Faye Rogers.
