Nilda Beth Bunce

Nilda Beth Talbot Bunce, age 80 of Springville, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. She was born August 20, 1928 in Montana to Mark and Elizabeth Buckley Talbot. She married Joseph C. Bunce on August 6, 1948 in Benjamin, Utah and later divorced. She married Lee Phillips July 10, 1981. Lee preceded her in death February 18, 1985.



Nilda's passions were her children, grandchildren and the nursing homes which she owned and operated for over forty years. She was an LPN and worked at the Eldred Center, Geneva Steel, and the State Hospital. She was involved in Parents Without Partners and Toastmistress. Nilda owned a farm in Mayfield, Utah where she raised ostriches. She loved hunting, fishing, camping and going to Moab and her cabin Scofield. She will be dearly missed by all her many family and friends.



She is survived by five sons and two daughters: Rick, Brad, Kim, Alan, Carla, Joe and Karen; 24 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Velma Swasey, Roma Fullmer and Brent Talbot. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Val Talbot.



Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Spring Creek South Stake Center at 350 N. 400 E. in Springville. There will be a viewing held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Benjamin Cemetery.
