Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away from this life to the next on October 6, 2008.
He was born April 11, 1947 to LeMont Robertson and Florence Manwill in Craig Colorado.
Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Dell Montana. While their time there was short it had quite an impact on his life. He spoke of the ranch in Montana often and made frequent trips to fish the river and revel in the beauty and memories there. The family then moved to Springville where he entered grade school and made many of his life long friends.
Nic met Judith Church in high school and they were married in 1965, and later divorced. On August 15, 1971 he married Pat Morgan, the love of his life, in Elko Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple on April 3, 2008.
Being a member of the LDS church, Nic held many callings which included teaching in several capacities. His love was being a scoutmaster to many wonderful boys whom he truly loved and of whom he talked about on a regular basis. His family enjoyed hearing his stories of his scouts and the days he spent camping with them.
Nic had a wonderful gift of making friends. He was known to help generously to those in need. Where ever he traveled he would make friends with the people whom he came in contact with. He was loved by many dear friends, of whom they have referred to him as "their best friend in the world".
His greatest love was his farm in Hobble Creek Canyon. Many days and years were spent riding his four wheeler all over the farm taking care of his animals. He would also feed the wild animals which came across his farm.
Nic loved to paint, create, and go fishing. He had a talent to find the beauty in everything he touched. Having formal training in interior design at the Woodbury School of Design, he loved to transform a piece of property into a work of art. Nic held many different jobs over the years including the ownership of a greenhouse, statue foundry, land developing companies, and a drapery manufacturing business.
His is survived by his wife Pat and five children, Wendy (Doug) Nielson, Spanish Fork; Ian (Maira) Robertson, Elk Ridge; Alisha (Jeff) Boyer, Grafton Wisconsin; Nichole (Derek) Sorenson, Springville; Mandy Robertson, Pleasant Grove; Carlie Robertson, Orem. He loved each and every one of his 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Lynn Greene, Yakima Washington; Jim (Darlene) Robertson, Saratoga Springs; John (Judy) Robertson, Springville. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister Cathy.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 11, 2008 at the Hidden Cove Chapel 2379 E 1100 S (Riverbottom Road), Springville, Utah at 1:00 pm. Friends and family may come to pay their respects one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Nic Robertson memorial fund at any Bank of American Fork branch.
