Nathan Boyd Crandall returned home to his Heavenly Father on May 23, 2011. Nathan was born May 29, 1930 in Springville Utah to Myron and Harriet Crandall and was the youngest of four children. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. He married Margene Allan on June 12, 1953 in Springville, their marriage was later sealed in the Provo Temple.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nathan worked as a pipe fitter retiring from Geneva Steel, he also spent 12 years working for Utah County where he was proud to be employee of the month. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Nathan is survived by his wife Margene, sister Ruth, children, Alan (Karri) Crandall, Danny (Laurie) Crandall, Natalie (John) Kramer, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mac, sister Josephine, and daughter Cheri.
Special thanks to his care givers, Patsy, Cynthia, Paige, and Sydney who have helped comfort and take care of him as his health failed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 3rd Ward Chapel at 55 North Main, Springville. There will be a viewing held Wednesday evening at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
