Nadine (Murray) Kimber

July 11, 1941 — February 4, 2022

Springville

Nadine Murray Kimber, 80, of Springville Utah, passed away February 4, 2022, after a short battle with cancer, at her daughters home in Salem Utah.
She was born July 11, 1941, to Max Leonard and Mina Crandall Murray. She grew up in Springville and graduated from Springville High School in 1959. She loved growing up in the 50's and especially loved the music of Elvis and The Kingston Trio.
She loved Bryce Canyon and worked there during the summers of 1958, 1959 and 1960. Nadine then attended Provo Technical College and graduated from their secretary course.  She married Jim Kimber of Provo Utah, on July 31, 1963. They spent the first few months of married life in Germany since he had been drafted and sent there with the United States Army. It was a great new adventure and she loved telling anyone about her experiences over there. She and Jim would eventually end up living in Mapleton Utah where they raised three children, Kaaren, Scott and Matthew. After several years they were divorced and Nadine returned to live in Springville.
In 1970 she began working at Springville Junior High School as the financial secretary. She loved this job and all the people she worked with. She sadly had to take an early retirement after 32 years because of a medical condition with her eyes, but, she continued to tell us all about her friends and experiences she had there for the rest of her life.
Nadine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many callings throughout her life. She was very thoughtful and would put others needs before her own.
She loved spending time with her family. She always made sure she took her children on Summer vacations with our favorites being Bryce Canyon, St. George or Yellowstone.
She especially loved going for walks and rides around town to get a drink or up Hobble Creek Canyon. Every road we go down reminds us of her.
She made sure the dogs got walked everyday and was known around every neighborhood she lived in as, "the lady that walks her dog".
Nadine enjoyed trips to Wendover, being a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, reading books, going to movies and her daily Diet Coke.
Nadine is survived by her children: Kaaren (Philip) Pearson of Salem, Utah; Scott Kimber of Springville, Utah; Matthew (Marie) Kimber of Orem, Utah; sister Shirley (Jerry) Smith, brothers: Ted (Vickie) Murray and Larry (Nan) Murray all of Springville, Utah; 7 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband.
