She loved sports and loved supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their activities.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years. She was the first to give compassionate service to anyone in need.
Monta married Charles L. Reid Nov. 26, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They were parents to six children; two daughters and four sons: Patricia (who died in infancy), Marvin (Mary Ellen) Reid, Ila (Russ) Gruver, Donald Duke (Joan) Reid, Fred (Linda) Reid, Roger (Diane) Reid. Monta and Charlie were married over 61 years. They enjoyed many happy times camping, fishing at Strawberry and later spending winters in Arizona.
