Michael Wayne Carter

Michael Wayne Carter, age 79, of Springville, Utah, passed away, Sunday, January 7, 2024.

He was born January 19, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to Wayne and Lazetta Carter. He married Patricia Alice Rowe August 1, 1964 in Springville, Utah. She proceeded him in death October 21, 2019.

He served in the Army in Vietnam. He retired from Geneva Steel and Longview fiber. Family was very important to Mike, he enjoyed his kids, grandkids and great granddaughters. He also enjoyed trains, model trains, metal detecting, camping, rides everywhere and visiting people.

He is survived by his son, Grandon (Tiffany) Carter of Springville, His sisters Jeanine Roberts of Alabama and Peggy Batty of Spanish Fork, 6 Granddaughters; 5 Grandsons; 5 Great Granddaughters and in-laws Vickie and Richard White. He is proceeded in death by his brother Richard Carter, Daughter DeAnn Price and wife Patricia Carter.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 555 Averett Ave., Springville, UT. Viewings for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT., and from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Goshen City Cemetery next to his beloved wife.
