Michael Dale Bringhurst

Michael was born on January 31, 1978 in Provo, Utah to Douglas and Sharon M. Bringhurst. Our loving son, brother, father and husband passed away on November 14, 2008 from his long struggle with addiction. He married Candice Balzly who he later divorced. He married Stacey Mower and together they have one son, River.



Mike had many wonderful friends and family that he truly loved and who will dearly miss him with his incredible smile and sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, mountain biking, backpacking, bow hunting, fishing, body building and anything that involved his son River, who he loved more than anything else. Mike was always a loving and caring son with a gentle and kind spirit that touched everyone around him.



Mike was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Dale and Shirley Bringhurst and his cousin, Ryan Handy. He is survived by his parents; son, River Douglas Bringhurst; wife, Stacey Bringhurst; grandparents, Frank and Eileen Memory; brother, Matthew (Cindy) Bringhurst; sister, Jennifer (Jason) Taylor; and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Addison, Isabelle and Cooper.



Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 5th Ward Chapel at 860 East 200 North in Springville. There will be a viewing held at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Central Bank where a trust fund has been set up for his son, River.
