Mary Miner Marshall

Mary Miner Marshall, age 89 of Springville, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 of conditions incident to age. She was born January 22, 1918 in Springville, Utah to Thorn C. and Selina Kershaw Miner. She married Dr. John Taylor Marshall on March 25, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death November 4, 2002.



Mary had many fond memories of her youth spent near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She returned to Utah where she attended and graduated from Brigham Young University. Mary and John were active members of the Camera Club for several years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother.



Mary is survived by her children: Karen (Richard) Ollerton of Springville; Bruce (Kris) Marshall of Payson; Philip (Laurel) Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska; and Heidi (Brent) Anderson of Payson; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Nancy (Don) Herb and Evelyn (Reed) Ekins; and one brother, Herbert K. Miner. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.



The family would like to express their thanks to Hearthstone Manor, Harmony Hospice and the many caretakers that cared for their mother.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Hobble Creek West Stake Center at 555 South 600 East in Springville. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
