Mary Fern Larson
August 11, 1918 — December 21, 2008
On Sunday, December 21, 2008, in the early hours at UVRMC, mom left this world free of physical and mental pain to have the best Christmas with our big brother, Jesus. She was born August 11, 1918 (age 90) to John and Laura Hatfield Brailsford.
Mary worked at many jobs in her lifetime; from picking fruit, thinning long rows of beets, to sawmills, and finally spending 25 years at the state mental hospital.
She loved doing church work, walking and giving humorous readings at any place that asked her. She took great pride in her family, home and good music.
She is survived by her three children: Shirlene (Perry) Hutchings, Raymond (Barbara) Farnworth, and Arlene (Brent) McGregor; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
She was married 25 years to George R. Farnworth and later divorced. She later married Fay Larson. He was killed three years later in a car accident.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 10th Ward Chapel at 672 North 250 West in Springville. There will be a viewing at the church from 9:45 til 10:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
