1919 ~ 2013
Mary Louise Evans Cranmer, 93, of Oxnard passed away on Thursday, July 4th 2013. She was born November 14th 1919 in Springville, UT to John Lester Evans and Mary Ruth (Meda) Evans Ellsworth.
The family moved to California in the late 1940s and resided in Oxnard, CA since 1959. In 1968 she went to work for the Pacific Missile Test Center, Pt. Mugu, CA in the Stock Control Branch of the Supply Dept. She started as a supply clerk and held the position of Inventory Management Specialist when she retired in 1984.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with a temple recommend. She was a wonderful cook and prepared many family holiday meals. Her baked goods were outstanding and she never failed to send some to friends and neighbors. She was always willing to help you out; whether it be weeding, ironing or watching your kids. With her passing she takes a piece of each of us who are left behind, but we are truly grateful for the happy memories and her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her youngest daughter Shirley Striker (Andy), son-in-law Joe Janecek, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister LaRue Hopkins of Provo, UT, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and loving friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Janecek and 3 siblings.
Services: graveside, 2 p.m. Friday July 12th, Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, UT.
