Mary Hirst Bredesen
October 10, 1926 — February 19, 2009
Mary A. Hirst Bredesen passed away peacefully February 19, 2009 surrounded by her family in Springville, Utah at the age of 82. She was born October 10, 1926 to Clarence and Anna Whittle Hirst in Provo, Utah. She married William Bredesen in Elko, Nevada on April 25, 1948.
She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She received her education in Provo. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting with life long friends. She also loved to travel. She will be truly missed by her family and all that loved her.
She is survived by her children: Douglas (Annette Harward) of Sandy; Beth (Rodney) Madasen of Koosharem; Sandy (Mark) Rasmussen of Provo; and Terry Bredesen of Springville. She had 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; sisters, Dorothy Allen and LeNora Prestwich; brother, Lynn Hirst; son-in-law, Ted T. Perkins; and grandson, Scott D. Perkins.
The family wishes to express gratefulness to Jason Peterson, our sweet Shannon Newton, Mandy Young, Elizabeth Navas, and the entire Orem Alpine Hospice team for their tender loving care of our mother.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Provo City Cemetery. There will be a viewing held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside services.
