Mary Waddoups Bradford

July 10, 1913 — January 8, 2009

Mary Waddoups Bradford died January 8th, 2009 having lived a very long life. She was born July 10, 1913 to William M. Waddoups and Olivia Sessions Waddoups of Josepa, Utah. At the age of five she moved to Hawaii where her father was the first president of the Hawaiian Temple where she lived until marrying Rawsel W. Bradford in the Salt Lake City Temple. Mary and Rawsel had four children: Mary Lou Bingham (Bill), William (Mary Ann), Richard (Laura) and Thomas (died in infancy).

Mary and Rawsel had twenty grandchildren, eighty nine great-grandchildren and thirty-three great great grandchildren. They parented and guided many others who will always be grateful for their generosity and love. Mary and Rawsel, not only parented together, but they worked side by side in many endeavors as ranchers, farmers, imports/exporters, motels owners, grocers, pharmacist, floral growers and designers, and restaurateurs among other things. They lived many places in Utah, Texas, Arizona, and Hawaii where both of them served three missions.

Mary was blessed with many talents and opportunities to serve. She was a gifted singer, an excellent cook, and devoted servant of her Heavenly Father. She has gone on to join her loving husband, her parents and siblings who all preceded her in death. Though we sorrow on this side of the veil, we know there was great joy for Mary's reunion on the other side of the veil. Aloha Tu Tu.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant View 6th Ward Chapel at 2445 North 650 East in Provo. There will be a viewing held at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
