1927~2014
Mary Belle Bertoglio passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at home at the age of 86. She was born December 4, 1927 in Cresta Butte, Colorado. She married Barney Dino Bertoglio on December 23, 1944 in Helper, Utah. They moved to Utah County in 1951.
She always loved Cresta Butte. After her mother passed away, she had to quit school at grade 6 to raise her family.
She enjoyed cooking and she always had candy for us whenever we visited. She took pride in her yard, especially her roses. She loved to handy work and gave a lot of her items away. She loved spending time on her front porch waving to all who came by. The neighborhood children loved to visit her and bring her cookies.
Mom is survived by her three daughters, Mary Claudette Black Henderson, Lana Gren (Gordon), Victoria Salisbury (Rick), six grandchildren, twenty-three and one in January great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one sister Roselyn Dame. She was preceded in death by her husband Barney, two son-in-laws, Norman Black and Dee Henderson. One granddaughter Kimberly Fox, one grandson David Hall Black, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 14, at 11:00 am. There will be a Rosary at Wheeler Mortuary at 211S 200 E, Springville, Utah. There will be a viewing on Thursday November 13 at Wheeler's from 6-8pm and prior to the service at 10:00 -10:45. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
We want to thank all the neighbors and well wishers. Mom was the "Grand Lady" of Bingo.
