Mary Beth Andreasen passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016 at
her home in Springville, Utah. She was born September 15, 1931 in
Malad, Idaho.
She moved to China Lake, California as a teenager and attended
Burroughs High School where she met her sweetheart Bert Andreasen.
They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada in September 1949 and were
sealed in the Logan Temple on March 23, 1950.
They lived in the China Lake area for over 30 years, where they
raised their children, the 4 T’s (Tom, Terri, Tim and Todd).
She was always involved in her children’s activities. She loved
music and sang with the Singing Mothers, Musettes, led music and choirs.
She enjoyed bowling, watching her husband pitch fast-pitch softball. Her
heart was all about BYU Sports and she was an avid supporter.
She loved the gospel and had an unshakeable testimony of the
Savior. She served in many capacities in the church and was called by
then Apostle Spencer W. Kimball as the first Relief Society President of the
newly formed Mt. Whitney Stake in Ridgecrest, California.
She is survived by her loving husband Bert, of 67 years. Her 4
children, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great
grandchildren, 1 sister and 1 brother. She was proceeded in death by her
mother and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11am at 55 N
Main Street in Springville. A viewing will be held at 10am before the
services. The public viewing will be on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the
Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville. Interment will be at the
Evergreen Cemetery.
The family gives thanks for the kind and loving care given by Dr.
Penrod, and staff, Dr. Frischknecht and Rod Newman NP, iCare Hospice,
Tyler, Lexie, Thurman, Bonnie, Burt and Natalie.
