Our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Marla Frisby Wheeler passed away in the early hours Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 82.
Marla was born on October 1, 1935 in Payson, Utah to Gerald and Camilla Frisby. She married David Wheeler August 17, 1955. Together they raised 6 children: Larry (Pat) Wheeler, Spanish Fork; Karen (Cam) Brown, Provo; Bonnie (Ken) Jones, Provo; Linda (Tim) Moore, Provo; Alan Wheeler, Ogden; Dawna (Danny) Thompson, Spanish Fork; 27 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.
Marla deeply loved her family. She loved camping, fishing, birds, family get togethers and the deer hunt. She was always so cheerful and generous to all she meet. She could laugh and make others laugh even when she didn’t feel well.
Marla was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years in the Relief Society. She loved and appreciated her ward family.
She is survived by a sister, Marie Gren (Tooele), brothers: Lynn (Suzanne) Frisby, American Fork and Brent Frisby (Taylorsville).
Marla was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers: Arnold Frisby, Gene Frisby, her sister Ruth, and great grandson Ephraim Durrant.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bonneville 10th Ward, 1498 E. 800 S. Provo, Utah. A viewing will held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. Springville Utah and one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
