Marjory Lynn Groneman

February 23, 1917 — July 23, 2011

Marjory Lynn Groneman, 94, born February 23, 1917 in Lovell, Wyoming, passed away July 23, 2011. She was daughter of Ross & Annie Stratton Lynn. When her mother realized her 8 daughters needed husbands, she moved them to Provo where Marjory met and later married her Provo High School sweetheart, Oran LaMar Groneman on September 17, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Provo, Mapleton and Springville, where they raised 3 wonderful children.

She was active in the community for many years, where she ran a Springville Recreation Program at the park for young children. She worked at Haymond Drug for years and was known for her special fresh lime drinks. She then worked at Springville Medical Center and spent time helping mothers by rocking their babies. She adored children and they loved her. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many leadership positions.

Marge loved Bridge and any card game. She always had a deck of cards in her purse and was ready to play anytime. All the grandkids were taught her value of honesty and fairness by playing cards with Grandma. She loved camping and fishing with the family. Red was her favorite color. She was an avid Utah Ute fan and a big Springville Red Devil Supporter.

Sunday was a favorite family day where everyone would meet at her home for her wonderful pies and cakes. No one could bake bread like Marge. The grandkids loved their mini bread loaves for birthdays.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Don) Tuttle, 2 sons: Mike (Jan) Groneman and Lawrence (Kathy) Groneman, 15 beloved grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great, great, grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaMar in 1992, a grandson, Caleb Tuttle, 7 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 3rd Ward, 55 North Main, Springville. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville or Wednesday, one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial is in the Provo City Cemetery.

A special thank you to Rob Stokes for his loving care over the last several months.
