Marjorie Morris Stokes of Mapleton, passed away on January 5, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Brigham City on March 19, 1924 to Alvin Elliott Morris and Cecelia Bott Morris. She married her college sweetheart, Leonard Grant Stokes, on August 22nd, 1942. Together, they enjoyed many life adventures including a building mission to Australia and several stake missions. They raised their family in Provo and later moved to Mapleton to return to country life.

"Marge" enjoyed many activities throughout her life including sewing, quilting and oil painting. She was always an active church member and served many positions over the years.

She is survived by her children; David (Annette) Stokes, Janice (Jerry) Macdonald-Chapman, Alicia S. Hone, seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Joan Foley, Claudia Phelps, Elliot Morris, JDell Morris, Sister-in -laws; Betty Stokes and Ruth Zubeck.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her son Kenneth Stokes, great grandson McCoy, her sister Yvonne Atwood and brother Vay Morris.

Services will be Thursday, January 10th at 11:00 am in the Mapleton White LDS Church, 31 W Maple St, Mapleton. Friends may call at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 West 400 North, Mapleton, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. or Thursday at the church from 10-10:45 am prior to services. Burial in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
