Marjorie Houtz Larsen, age 87 of Mapleton, died 9 May 2008, in Springville, Utah. She was born in Springville, 7 Nov 1920 to Heber Hall and Calista Isabell Robertson Houtz. She married Andersen Reed Larsen 28 April 1960, in the Salt Lake Temple. Reed died 10 June 1994.
She grew up on the East Bench in Springville and attended Springville Schools. She worked at Eddington Cannery for five years and Intermountain Farmers for 22 years as the bookkeeper and sales person. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings. With her husband, served a mission to the Southwest Indian Mission and was a worker in the Provo Temple.
She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Bray, Bountiful Ut. and Vera Meriwether, Murray, Ut. and 4 step children Norma Hillyard, Ferrus Larsen and Paul Larsen, Mapleton and Melba Brinkerhoff, Murray Ut. Four brothers, a sister and two stepsons preceded her in death, Rex, Merlyn, Keith and Vincent Houtz and Lois H. Behrmann and Blaine and Harold Larsen.
Viewing at Wheeler Mortuary 82 West 400 North in Mapleton on Monday, 12 May 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral at Mapleton 4th Ward, 31 W. Maple Tuesday, 13 May 2008 at 1 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior. Burial in Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
