Marie Elizabeth Kari was born in Mammoth, Utah January 4, 1917 and passed away in American Fork, Utah on Friday, January 4, 2013.
Marie was the second child of Albert Edward Hooper and La Preal (Hooper) Haymond, having an older brother, Preston Hooper, and younger sister, Rosalie (Hooper) Killpack.
Her father died when Marie was 5 years old and La Preal married Earl Haymond, a local pharmacist. She had three half-brothers and sisters: Beverly, L Wood and Dean Haymond.
In the late 1930's, Marie moved to California where she met John (Jack) Kari. They married, were blessed with three sons, and remained together until Jack's passing in 1990. After retirement they spent their time in Island Park, Idaho while they built their cabin (Kari's Dream). After Jack's passing, she moved into the family home in Springville.
She is survived by her sons and their families: John and Meryl Kari, Robert and Cheryl Kari, and Ronald and Leah Kari. She also survived by: 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers - L Wood and Dean Haymond; and countless nieces and nephews.
