1921 ~ 2015
Margaret Theresa Peterson passed away January 11, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 22, 1921, the youngest of four children. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from West Tech High.
She married Louis Reeves, the father of her two sons; Randall and Louis, and divorced him and raised her two sons as a single parent.
Margaret and her sons joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on November 29, 1958 and became active serving others in church callings.
Margaret met and married Maurice Peterson and they were sealed in the Los Angeles, California Temple in 1960. They lived together for 35 years when he passed away April 12, 1995, leaving a daughter, Joanne and sons, Randy and Louis. Margaret moved to Utah to be near her sons who were living in Utah with their families.
Margaret also served as a "Pink Lady" at Utah Valley Hospital and Timpanogos Hospital and also on the Board of Directors at the Provo Senior Center, and most recently as a volunteer at the M.T.C.
Margaret leaves her son, Randall Reeves; stepdaughter, Joann Peterson; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren plus cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice and son, Louis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Mapleton Red Church on 1200 North 1000 West in Mapleton.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to donate to the Humanitarian Aide Program.
