Margaret Aleen Hutchings, 91 of Mapleton, UT, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1922 to Carl Albert Madsen and Adeline Windous Madsen in Lund, Nevada. She grew up there and graduated from Lund High School and went to LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.
She married her eternal companion, Cecil Hutchings, in 1944 and together they spent a career in the U.S. Navy. They moved to Mapleton in 1977 after retiring, where they enjoyed creating many close friendships recently.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Cecil Hutchings; children: Dennis Hutchings and Steven Hutchings; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Hutchings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the LDS Chapel at 1580 North Main, Mapleton, UT. Viewings will be held on Friday, December 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mapleton Wheeler Mortuary 82 W 400 N, Mapleton, and Saturday, 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
