1923 ~ 2014
Margaret Elizabeth Schoenstra Bartholomew, age 91 passed away September 10, 2014 at home with her daughter at her side. She was born August 1, 1923 to Franklin Thomas Thompson Schoenstra and Harriet Marie Quinn in Columbus, Ohio. She had two brothers, John and Dan; and a sister, Anna. After graduating from Central High School in Columbus, she joined the United States Navy, serving during WWII. After she was discharged, she attended Capitol University Conservatory of Music. She later transferred to BYU and continued to major in music.
She married F Wayne Bartholomew November 5, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised 6 children. She fulfilled many callings in her ward and stake, had many hobbies: baking, knitting, crocheting, flower arranging and most important of all, watching her grandchildren. She loved babies and family get togethers and the Gospel.
Margaret is survived by her 6 children: Ann (Doug) Sherwin, Hyrum, UT; Bert (Deb) Preston, ID; Ina (Charles) Welch, Rawlins, WY; Lynn (Maxine) Springville, UT; Dale (Carole) Springville, UT; Gwen (Scott) Dedrickson, Mapleton, UT; 24 grandchildren & 24 great-grandchildren, with more on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents; brother, John Schoenstra; & sister, Anna Schoenstra.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Hobble Creek 8
