Marcia Ann (Hutchings) Hutchings

Marcia Ann Hutchings of Springville, passed away on April 5, 2016. She was born February 28, 1927 in Springville, Utah to Vivian Silas and Sadie Marsh Hutchings.
Marcia grew up and attended schools in Springville, graduating from Springville High School. She married Leon Hutchings on February 28, 1945 in the Salt Lake City Temple. The family moved to Lander, Wyoming in 1962. Leon and Marcia returned to Springville in 1985 where they spent the remainder of their time.

Marcia was a homemaker. She loved her family and loved providing for them. She enjoyed gardening, canning, flower arranging, reading, music, and her many friends. She had a kind, gentle, and compassionate spirit. Marcia was active in the LDS Church and has served in many callings.

She is survived by her daughters; Anne Christopherson and Gwen Hutchings, both of Springville; two grandchildren and three great- grandchildren; two brothers, Duane Hutchings of Spanish Fork, and Boyd Hanson of London, England; two sisters, Shirley Daley of Sandy, and Mary Jane Tuttle of Orem; a brother-in law and sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; her parents; two brothers, Stanley Hutchings and Don Hanson; and a son in-law, Jason Christopherson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Springville Stake House, 245 S 600 E, in Springville. A viewing will be held Friday at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville from 6 to 8 pm, and Saturday one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
