Marcia Grace Beach

March 22, 1937 — November 5, 2023

Springville, UT

Marcia Grace Beach, 86, of Springville, UT peacefully passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was surrounded by her family and the spirit. Marcia was born in Payson, UT, on March 22, 1937. She was the first of seven children of Elmer Lee Fillmore and Gwendolyn Ethel Wride. She married Edward Lavar Beach on January 31, 1957, in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2013. They are together again for all eternity.

Marcia’s life was a real love story. She met Ted at a LDS chapel on the Balboa Peninsula in  Newport Beach, CA. The Korean War Veteran was instantly drawn to her bright eyes and perfect smile. Marcia was a Spanish Fork Rose and Ted knew immediately that he had to marry her. Together, they raised 6 kids in the gospel. With 1 beautiful daughter then 5 active sons, they mastered the art of raising upstanding men. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2007. Marcia loved her family deeply and was an excellent Mother, Grandmother and a Great Grandmother.

Marcia was many things to many people. She was a mother, sister, wife, daughter of Utah pioneers, award winning cook, neighbor, artist, teacher, traveler, hero to many and always a good friend to everyone. She was well known for the delicious food and her open heart. Many have been warmed by her quilts, and fed at her table. She had many lifelong friends who visited her during her final days. Marcia displayed love in her many acts of service. She was a den mother, primary worker, relief society president, DUP member, master s’mores chef and leader of the Achievement Day girls for 25+ years. With a joyful heart, Marcia faithfully served in many roles in the LDS church and in her local community. She will be missed.

Marcia is survived by her six children. Sandy & Allen Luker, Richard & Buffie Beach, Jay & Pattie Beach, Paul & Susanne Beach, Joel Beach, Marcy Luther, and Chris & Nickell Beach. She leaves 32 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and thousands of friends. Her love story continues.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11 am in the LDS Chapel located at 350 North 400 East, Springville, UT. A viewing for friends and family will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Wheeler Mortuary located at 211 East 200 South in Springville, and on Monday just prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church.
