Maple Mukamutara Raventos, age 15, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. She was born March 23rd, 2007 in Salt Lake City and is the daughter of ShayLee Minchey and Nicholas Raventos.
Maple loved life and people! From the time she was very young, her personality was bigger than life itself. She thrived on relationships and connections and worked to develop those throughout her life. She opened up to others easily, took interest in them genuinely, and gave sincere compliments freely. For Maple, loving people was not limited to those only her own age. She took time from her busy teenage social life to make unsolicited visits to her grandpa and great aunt living nearby, just stopping in to say hello and chat for a while. That’s just who she was. Maple had an incredibly bright mind and was gifted as an artist. She loved trying new things and enjoyed activities like dance and volleyball.
Maple is survived by her parents: ShayLee Minchey and Nicholas Raventos; three siblings: Elmis, Anna and Espin Raventos; grandparents William Raventos, Lee Minchey, and Rose Dean; great grandparents Verda and Mark Minchey; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Ella Synnestvedt Raventos.
