M. Lamont Knudsen of Springville passed away on March 9 th , 2014, at the age of 53. He waged a valiant campaign against brain cancer for more than three years.

Lamont was born August 22, 1960, to Marvin Knudsen and Theo Elaine "Teddye" Mason. He was raised in Kirkland, New Mexico, and graduated from Kirkland Central High School in 1978. Lamont attended BYU, majoring in engineering where he met his wife, Janice White. They were married in the Jordan River Temple in September of 1987 and have been married for 26 years.
