Our beloved Mother, Louise Patrick Springer, 90, passed away peacefully in her home in Springville, Utah, on Friday, September 5, 2008, with her children by her side. She was born March 6, 1918, in Springville, Utah, to John Hulet and Lura Ann White Patrick, She married L. Frank Springer on May 15, 1941, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of 7 children.

Louise graduated from Springville High School where she made many special friends whose friendships lasted a lifetime. She attended BYU for two years before serving an LDS mission to California. She then attended LDS Business College for a short time prior to her marriage.

Our Mother loved life. She was a member of the Springville Playhouse and participated in a number of community plays. She and her husband belonged to a study group of friends which met monthly for 44 years. She was proud of her pioneer heritage and was the lesson leader for her camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved keeping in touch with her family and many wonderful fiends through cards and letters. She loved flowers, especially roses, and was a loyal BYU fan to the end.

Louise was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. She enjoyed serving in every organization and especially as Relief Society president at age 68 and as Relief Society Spiritual Living teacher for 14 years. Teaching the gospel all her life was one of her greatest joys. She was a kind and gentle angel on earth with a patient and loving nature. We are so blessed to have her for our Mother and Grandmother.

Louise is survived by 6 children: Laurel Cottam, Springville; David (Nancy) Springer, Provo; Russell (Elizabeth) Springer, Orem; Marian (Mark) Smith, Sandy; Brent (Siuman) Springer, Taylorsville; and Kristine (Date) Heath, Orem; 27 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Wallace Patrick, Marian (Irv, deceased) Wiseman, Elma (Wayne, deceased) Evans, Erma (Evan, deceased) Whitesides, Morris (Terry) Patrick, and Ann (Bry) Nelson.
