Lorin Jex Boyack came into this world on December 12, 1958, in Payson, UT. He was a blessing to his parents, Gary J. and Margaret M. Miller Boyack. He passed away on April 29, 2018, at home in Colorado Springs, CO.
In his early teens, Lorin was interested in launching model rockets, science, and astronomy. He liked bicycle racing, and helped with the high school track and football teams. His enjoyment of photography was put to use as a member of the yearbook staff.
Lorin joined the Army in 1976 and served in Germany, Dugway, and Texas. While in the military he learned computer programming. He later worked in OK and NYC before moving to Colorado Springs.
In 1979 Lorin married Demerise Bahrt; they were later divorced. Their only child, William Jex Boyack, lives in Fairbanks, AK, and has two daughters, Demerise and Amelia. Lorin married and later divorced Crystal Smith and Tamara Miller.
Lorin was preceded in death by his brother, James (Jim) Boyack, and a brother-in-law, Philip Long. His parents, Gary and Margie, Springville, survive him, as do his son, Will (Kat) and Will’s children, Fairbanks. He is also survived by the following siblings and their families: LeAnn Long, NJ; Lisa (JP) Lilly, Pleasant Grove; MaryJane (Jim) Hewitt, Springville; John (Wendy) Boyack, Monmouth, OR; and Mark (Lesa) Boyack, Spanish Fork.
Services will be at 11:00 on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville, UT, where the family will welcome visitors at 10:00. The interment of Lorin’s cremains at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery will be private.
