Lola Smith Jensen, age 92 of Mapleton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008. She was born July 2, 1916 in Provo, Utah to Albert and Beatrice Rodeback Smith. She married Bernell Jensen June 18, 1941 in Kamas, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Lola enjoyed fishing and camping until her health declined. She loved gardening, and having family get togethers where she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Lola worked for many years at Child Bakery and for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the LDS Church where she served as secretary in the Primary for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Bernell of Mapleton; one son and one daughter: Terry (Linda) Jensen of Spanish Fork and Trudy Jensen Childs of Spanish Fork; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, her son-in-law, Richard Childs and all of her siblings.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
