Lois Blanche Scrivner, age 81 of Springville, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She was born August 25, 1928 in Ogden, Utah to Lawrence Morris Mauchley and Blanche Viola (Sorrow) Mauchley. She married Bryce Hill Scrivner in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death October 14, 1990.
Lois enjoyed music, reading, camping with her husband and traveling with her sister. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an excellent mother and grandmother and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years in the Primary and Relief Society. She also served on a mission for the LDS Church in Chicago, Illinois.
Lois is survived by her two children: Janice (Jeff) Gallup of Mapleton and Jerry (Wendy) Scrivner of Rexburg, Idaho. Lois had five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Dale, and her stepbrothers Moylen and Don Peterson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July31, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Stake Center located at 245 South 600 East. Friends and family may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Taylorsville Cemetery.
