Lois, age 69 of Springville, Utah, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from natural causes. She was born on July 18, 1944 in Provo, Utah to Ralph Mads Sorensen and Zelma Johnson Kesler. She married Bert Charles Andersen on April 19, 1961 in Evanston, Wyoming. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 4, 2006.
Lois graduated from Steven's Henegar Business College in 1985. She graduated with high honors in business management. She enjoyed making women look beautiful through her work with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She loved working as a unit secretary at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and many other crafts. She found joy in making gifts for all those she loved. She was a excellent seamstress and made clothes for her children and grandchildren. She made all of her children table cloths.
She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving her Lord in many callings throughout her life.
Survivors include her 3 children: Donna (Dave) Walter of St. George; Robert Andersen of Springville; and Sueann (Mike) Harnden of Springville; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kelly Sorensen of Provo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Charles Andersen; her parents, a brother and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 555 S. 600 E. in Springville. There will be a viewing held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville City Cemetery.
