Lisa Marie Barney

 Lisa Marie Barney, born April 29, 1964, at age 60, was greeted by her angels on August 3, 2024, as she left this life unexpectedly. She was in her home in Herriman, Utah with the love of her life, William (Billy) Gourdin, as she found her peace and made her way to the other side. She was greeted and embraced by amazing people who have been guiding and protecting her on this earth. Lisa will be remembered for her big, bright personality, her infectious laugh and sense of humor. She could light up a room with her incredible presence.  She was filled with unconditional love and had unwavering courage and strength. She was smart and carried so much knowledge and wisdom.  She was also a spiritual being with a strong connection to her higher power. Her life was filled with so much LOVE and when Lisa loved, she loved hard. She had a love for animals, especially her cats Tiger and Sophie, her family and friends, she had a passion for music, and she loved to read, especially spiritual books. Her family meant everything to her, with the deepest and most unbreakable bond with her mom, she would always say that she never wanted to disappoint her. She loved her dad very much and truly admired her siblings Craig, Brad, Kristine and her baby sister Julie Ann. Then there was Billy, the love she adored the most, a rekindled love from her youth, and the love of her life. It is said that true love always finds its way to the heart it was meant for, and almost 20 years later, Billy’s heart found its way back to Lisa’s, it was truly meant to be. Lisa was a beloved daughter, partner, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all, but without a doubt, will always be remembered and loved fiercely.

Lisa was preceded in death by her nephew Tony Barney (age 24 passed away on March 17, 2010), and is survived by her partner William Gourdin, her parents, Marilyn and Terry Barney, her siblings Craig and wife Doreen (son Tony and daughter Tanisha), Brad and wife Janette (daughters Erica & partner Anthony (great niece Brixxton), Jordyn & husband Trevor (great nephews Ryker and Oliver & great niece Addie), Stephanie & husband Kris and Hailee & great nieces Braelynn and Kaya, great nephews Gabe & Dhegann), Kristine (son Nik) and husband Delano, and her baby sister Julie Ann and husband David from Connecticut (daughters Ava, Tiffany, Britney, Emily & and great niece Paisley. 

There will be a Private Family Viewing on Friday August 9, 2024, at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville; followed by a Public Viewing at the same place from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Graveside services will take place on Saturday, Aug 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Historic Springville City Cemetery.
