Linda Lou Petersen, age 60 of Springville, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009. She was born May 5, 1949 in Provo, Utah to Jack Bach and Georgette Filimon Petersen.
Linda graduated with honors from BYU with a major in math and a minor in chemistry. After graduating, she worked as a school teacher in Green River, Utah from 1972 - 1974 teaching math. In 1974, Linda became a quadriplegic in a traffic accident. Before the accident, Linda worked at a camp with handicap children, a job that was evident that she loved. One of her greatest accomplishment after her accident was an afghan she knitted that took first place at the fair. Linda was an avid reader and she loved her calling as building scheduler, which position she held numerous times.
She is survived by three sisters and three brothers: Jack (Laura), Kathleen Marie, Carla, Kevin, Lance and Shannon; 4 nephews and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stephen Petersen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 555 South 600 East in Springville. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and at the church on Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
