Leslie (Shipp) Sumsion
June 19, 1961 — February 18, 2017
Leslie Shipp Sumsion, age 55, of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully due to heart complications on the morning of February 18, 2017, in the comfort of her home and loving family.
She was born on June 19, 1961 in Provo, Utah to Clair and Elma Shipp. She married Hal Sumsion on March 9, 1984. Together they were blessed with three wonderful children.
Leslie was a loving and dedicated mother, wife, daughter and sister, showing compassion to every life she touched. First and foremost, she was a homemaker, ever enriching the lives of her family. Throughout her life she worked in varied business capacities, acquiring skills which later became instrumental working hand-in-hand with her husband developing and managing Hal Sumsion Plumbing. Her hobbies included decorating, travel, camping, reading, and participating in car shows.
Leslie is survived by her husband Hal, daughter Melia, sons Kasey and Tyler, parents Clair and Elma Shipp, mother-in-law Beth Sumsion all of Springville; siblings Lori (Chad) Smith of Springville, Julie (Stacey) Kay of Spanish Fork, Gregg (Ann) Shipp of Katy, Texas, and Brett (Jamie) Shipp of Orem; in-laws Becky (Mike) Beardall of Mapleton, Andrea (Ralph) Nunn of Springville, and Darrin (Adrienne) Sumsion of Vernal. She is deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Stan Sumsion, and her precious nephew, Gunner Grant Kay.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 1785 E. 400 S. Springville, UT. Viewings will be held Wednesday, February 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E. 200 S., Springville, UT and Thursday, 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
