Leonard "Lenny" Harry McPheeters, Jr. 65 was born 19 Feb 1948 in Salt Lake City, UT. He passed away from a long illness on 01 Dec 2013, Provo, UT. He is the beloved son of Leonard Harry McPheeters and Lida Margaret (Waugaman) McPheeters.
He attended the public schools in Salt Lake City until 1956 when his family moved to southern California. He attended El Ranch High School, Pico Rivera, CA. After his graduation he attended Dixie State College, St. George, UT achieving academic honors. He enjoyed the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and the many opportunities to take time off from work to go fishing. He was a skilled building contractor. He was trained in automotive mechanics and would help out anyone with car trouble. He was young at heart and playful with family. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by one brother, John S. McPheeters, four sisters: Carol Ann McPheeters, Janice Barber, Susan Bastian, Deborah Kay Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held Tuesday, 03 Dec 2013 at 2:00-3:00 at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, UT.
