Leland Bradley Coburn passed away on July 8, 2014, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was surrounded by his family.

He was born to Leland Lafayette and Annie Mae Roebuck Coburn on February 6, 1938, in Robersonville, NC. He grew up in Robersonville and graduated from Robersonville High School. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he played the tuba in the Air Force Band. While serving, he converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

While stationed in Morocco, he met Geraldine Murray, who was a school teacher on base. They were married in Springville, UT, on August 23, 1961. The following year they were sealed in the Manti Temple. They made their home in Springville where they raised their five children.

Leland attended BYU and received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for several companies, including ADDS, IHC, and Royal Wholesale.

Leland was an active member of the LDS church. He served as a ward clerk for over 25 years. Leland found great joy working on genealogy and serving in the Provo Temple.

Leland will be most remembered for his love of family, his southern accent, his sense of humor and his love of a cold Pepsi.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine Murray Coburn, his children: Angela (David) Hansen, Bradley (Patricia) Coburn, Sherrie (Mike) Davidson, Julie Coburn and Jeffrey (Debra) Coburn, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, at 11 AM in the LDS Spring Creek 1st Ward, 860 East 200 North, Springville, UT. Family and friends may visit at 10:00 AM on Monday or Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
