Laura Noreen Baird Petersen, 66, of Spanish Fork, UT, passed away on July 21, 2014 following a long illness. She was born on September 11, 1947 in Ukiah, California to Norman and Marjorie Smith Baird. She married Jack Charles Petersen on June 19, 1996 in Arches National Park.
Laura loved reading and was a member of the Springville Brookside Book Club. As a member of the LDS Church she served as a temple ordinance worker for many years, in a Stake R.S. Presidency and in many other church callings. She graduated from Ukiah High School and BYU. She worked and retired from her position as a medical receptionist at the Provo MTC.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Wendy Yegge; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Karen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork River Stake, 452 W 550 S, Spanish Fork, UT. Viewings will be held on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
