La Preal Ludlow Harward Mower, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from complications associated with age. She was born July 5, 1918 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Francis Raymond Ludlow and Edith Jones Ludlow. She loved her family and her Father in Heaven; relished life. La Preal enjoyed music and performed the lead part in her high school opera. She played the organ and piano for the Primary; La Preal loved art, nature, camping, and especially a good laugh. The Jazz Basketball team never enjoyed a more enthusiastic and devoted fan. She, worked at the Springville Library, served as a "pink lady" at Mountain View Hospital, and volunteered as a docent for the Springville Art Museum.



She is survived by her sons: Don L Harward, his wife Kathleen, David K. Mower, and Michael Jay Mower; daughters-in-law: Shauna Marie Mansfield, Julie Pearce Mower; brother-in-law, Richard Drollinger; nieces and nephews: Derek Drollinger, Diana Drollinger Whitman, her husband Chip, and their five children; Jenny, Kaika and Jason Drollinger; Raymond, Alexander, Alan and Steven Ludlow; beloved friends including Shirley Cook, Fern and Evan Chidester, Rick and Cindy Marino; her first husband Garn H. Harward; grandchildren: Heidi, Aaron, Jordon, and Logan Harward, Noelle Harward Fitzgerald, her husband Jeremy; Melissa Mower Baker and Brady J. Mower; great grandchildren: Nicholas, Anna, Anthony, and Garret Harward; Stella Fitzgerald; Lillian, Braden and Wirtt Baker; step-daughters and step sons: Linda Mower Schneider, Gloria Mower Kay, Verl D. Mower, Roger Lynn Mower, and step great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers: Kenneth and Wallace Ludlow; sister, Colleen Ludlow Drollinger ; second husband Howard Lee Mower; grandson, Daniel Joe Mower; step-daughter, Glenna Mower Diamond and step-son, Max Howard Mower.



Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah. The family will be pleased to greet friends at a viewing to be held at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Springville Historic Cemetery.
