LaMar B. Anderson, 82, of Springville, Utah, died of complications of a stroke on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Provo, Utah. He was born on October 22, 1928 in Mohrland, UT, now a coal mining ghost town in Emery County, the second child of Parley P. and Elda G. Bearnson Anderson. He married IDonna Olsen on September 4, 1950 in Duchesne, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple.
LaMar was very proud of his military service. He served as an MP at Fort Ord during the Korean Conflict. He spent his career of nearly 50 years, in the plumbing supply business where he developed a majority of his friendships through the years. LaMar was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many callings over the years, including being a faithful Home Teacher. He was a great neighbor and could always be found eagerly engaged in a service project. He was a loving husband and a caring father; his wife and children always came first.
LaMar is survived by his wife; 4 children: Brent (Heidi), Sheldon (Julie), Lisa (RK) Thorpe and Matthew (Kellie); 2 brothers: Parley (Kathlene) and Dean (Geri) and a sister, Valynn (Phil) Jorgensen; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
