Mapleton, Utah - Kenneth Kent Kendall, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away August 5, 2008 at home. He was born April 2, 1923 in Nephi, Utah to Amelia Bowles and Kenneth F. Kendall.
He served in the military in World War II from 1942 - 1945. He worked as a machinist at Geneva Steel for forty years. He particularly enjoyed time with his family and he spent his retirement traveling with his wife and enjoying life.
He married Maxine Zeeman in 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple and they have four sons, eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Maxine; sons, Stephen (Susan), Bruce (Bonnie), Dennis (Donna) and Gerald; brothers, Robert, Richard and Jerry; and sister, Shirley Hendry.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 West 400 North in Mapleton from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Mapleton 3rd Ward LDS Church at 970 North 400 East at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will also be held at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
