Kathryn Davidson Peterson passed away, June 19, 2014 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, after suffering a heart attack at her home in Springville on June 14, 2014.

Kathryn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 6 th , 1934. She was the 2 nd of 12 children of the late Roland Sutherland Davidson and Lois Fillmore Davidson. Her childhood was spent in Burns, Oregon, and following her high school graduation in 1952, she attended Ricks College where she studied nursing.

On August 10 th , 1956, Kathryn married Wallace Sheryl Peterson, in the Idaho

Falls LDS Temple. She completed her training in Idaho Falls earning her RN certification. Wallace and Kathryn moved to Springville making it their home in 1963. Kathryn was an active member of the Springville 8 th Ward, serving in several of the auxiliaries (Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary). Wallace and Kathryn served a couples mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission from January 2004 - August 2006. Kathryn is remembered for her many acts of kindness and service, especially her homemade bread and the handmade items she knitted or crocheted.

Kathryn is survived by her husband Wallace Sheryl Peterson and eight of their nine children: Karen (Wayne) Young of Great Falls, MT; Valerie (Charles "Chuck") Wilson of Salem, UT; David (Mary Jane) Peterson of Springville, UT; Elaine (David) Willis of Bainbridge Island, WA; Kevin (Collette) Peterson of South Jordan, UT; Brian (Alice) Peterson of Cheyenne, WY; Marlo (Paul) Evans of Mapleton, UT; Jon (Sheri) Peterson of Spanish Fork, UT. Kathryn has 43 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Kathryn is preceded in death by her son Steven Richard Peterson who died as an infant, her parents Roland Sutherland Davidson and Lois Fillmore Davidson, and her sisters Elaine Davidson who died as a child and Margaret Louise Davidson Pruitt who died on March 24, 2014.

A viewing will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Wheeler Mortuary located at 211 E. 200 S. Springville. A viewing will also be held from 9:30 - 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 24 th at the Springville 8 th Ward Chapel located at 245 S. 600 E. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Kathryn will be buried at the Springville City Historic Cemetery.
