Karl Gene Wiscombe passed away peacefully from this life January 19, 2019. Gene was born in Mapleton Utah on February 7, 1940 to Karl G. Wiscombe and Gladys Thomas Wiscombe (Pennington). He married Peggy Gabbitas on June 9, 1960 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She passed away on February 26, 2009. Gene will be greatly missed by his children Karl F. Wiscombe (Sherry), Christine Wouden (Pieter), and Linda Bowles (Chuck), 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and his sweet dog Dolly.
Gene was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he spent many years serving as a scout master as well as many other callings and capacities. He spent 30 years working for W.W. Clyde Co. and then as a janitor for Timpview High School before retiring.
Gene loved helping and serving those in his family and community as one of the first volunteers of the Springville City ambulance crew.
Gene taught his children and grandchildren how to work, play and serve but most importantly to love. He was the greatest example of love as he cared for our mother and grandmother in her final days with pure and complete charity.
Gene is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sister Joyce W. Olsen, and three sister in laws, Pat Harmer (Albert), Janice Gabbitas, Jackie Wiscombe, and his sweet dog Dolly.
