Joseph Dean Smith

Joseph Dean Smith, 62 of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully, November 16, 2018.  He was married to Linda Jones on June 3, 2006.

Joe loved the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing.  He participated in the Mountain Man Rendezvous.  He enjoyed shooting his muzzle loaders as well as various other guns.

Joe spent his youth in Springville, Utah.  As an adult, Joe moved to Burley, Idaho.  Joe often spoke about how much he enjoyed the time he spent working in Antarctica.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Smith; his three children: Grant Nelson, Jesse (Chalsie) Smith, Chad (Hillary) Johnson; his grandchildren: Carter Joe and Averi; his sisters: Julie (Rick) Hall of Tooele, Jeanie (Mark) Willson of Springville, Carole (Rick) Brailsford of Santaquin; and his brother: Tom Smith of Salt Lake City.  Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Hulce Smith; his father, Dean Harold Smith; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville, Utah.
