John Raymond Clemons

John Raymond Clemons, 70 years, of Springville Utah, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023.  Born March 23, 1953, in Fort Madison, Iowa. John was married to Kim Clemons since 1994.

John is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Eileen Clemons, his brother Matthew Clemons and stepson G. Scott Woodward.

John’s interests included all things Iowa Hawkeyes, history, horses and ancestry for his and Kim’s families.  He was an excellent father to adopted grandson Raymond G. Woodward, and taught him many skills including baseball and he coached Raymond’s teams for several years.  John had a remarkedly positive attitude despite dealing with Muscular Dystrophy for many years and very challenging circumstances in the nursing facility for the past two and a half years after suffering a life altering stroke in February 2021.

John is survived by his wife, Kim Clemons, son Raymond Woodward and sisters Laurie Dilley and Julie Rider and their spouses.

According to John’s wishes, there is not a memorial service planned.
