Jeanne Loveless Mackley, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend passed away peacefully, on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 88, while sleeping in her Mapleton, Utah home. She was born in Provo, Utah on November 5, 1933, to Alfred Davis Loveless and Martha LaFay Parker and was married to the love of her life, Ronald James Mackley, September 9, 1953 in the Manti Temple.
Her deepest desire was to be reunited with her sweetheart, Ron, who preceded her in death on their anniversary, September 9, 1995. The foundation of their marriage was based on their love for God, their service to others, and their devotion to country. Jeanne was literally without guile and was a forgiving soul. She was full of life and the essence of ‘kind-hearted’. In her earlier years, Jeanne was the event planner extraordinaire, known widely for her expert cooking skills. She was a two-time cancer survivor and had a propensity for turning a negative into a positive. Jeanne loved playing games, especially rook, because it allowed her to spend so many fun times with her family and her friends. Her love for her children was unwavering. Although she will be missed, we joyfully celebrate Jeanne’s tender reunion with her dearest Ron, and, look forward to the day that we will all be together again because of the atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her wonderful brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Evelyn Loveless, her foster daughter of 10 years, Melinda Roosevelt, and adored grandson Raymond Mackley. She is survived by the sisters she thought were the best in the world, Karalyn [Nick] Cronk and Ranny [DeLoy] Young; her unpretentious and caring children, Karri Lynn Mackley-Crandall [Alan-deceased], Kevin James [Charlotte] Mackley, Richard Brent [Chanell] Mackley, Cindy Jane [Tracy]Anderson, and Michael John Mackley; and her adored 18 grandchildren and adorable 13 great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was buried in a private family interment in the Springville, Utah Evergreen Cemetery on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00am at the LDS Mapleton 27th Ward building, located at 31 West Maple Street in Mapleton.
