Jeanette Harding Roberts, 81, passed away on October 22. 2020, in Spanish Fork, Utah. Jeanette was born on January 22, 1939, to Owen Meeks Harding and Florence Vilate Backus, in Provo, Utah, the 8th of 11 children. She had 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
She married her eternal companion, James LaMoyne Roberts, on January 23, 1959, in the Logan Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They had 55 years together before his passing in 2014. They raised six children. She considered her family to be her greatest love and legacy.
Jeanette graduated from Bear River High School in Garland. Utah in 1957. She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to work at the genealogy library. She enjoyed family history work and the temple work that followed.
Jeanette enjoyed serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in various leadership capacities with youth and adults. She loved her time as a stake missionary. She enjoyed teaching and taught in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James LaMoyne Roberts, her father, Owen Meeks Harding, mother Florence Vilate Backus, and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children, Lynette Bodily of Spanish Fork, Utah, Karen (Dee) Rasmussen of McCammon, Idaho, Douglas (Teri) Roberts of West Jordan, Utah, Brent (Ramona) Roberts of West Jordan, Utah, Boyd (Molly) Roberts of Springville, Utah, and Mark (Rachel) Roberts of Spanish Fork, Utah, 27 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 996 W. Center Street in Springville with services following at 12:00 p.m.
