Janet Kay Howell Schriever passed away quietly on June 15, 2015. She was surrounded by her husband and children after battling many issues with Chrons, Lupus, and other auto-immune diseases.
She was born in Nephi, Utah October 9, 1954, to Jack E. and Ludene Howell. They later moved to Springville where Janet was raised and attended school graduating from Springville High School in 1972. She married John C. Schriever on April 28, 1973 in the Manti Temple. They had just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. They are the proud parents of six wonderful children: Ryan (Heather) Schriever, Analee (Daren) McGill, Jill (Pat) Bohn, Jeffrey Schriever, Adrienne (Deven) Golding, and Kyrsten (Michael) White. She loved to boast about her 27 grandchildren (with one more coming in November), who were the joy of her life and always looked forward to seeing them and receiving their hugs.
She is survived by her father, Jack (Diane) Howell and her siblings: Julie (Stan) Weight, LeeAnn Ostler, Lori (Jerry) Ewell, MaryAnn (Ben) Fietkau, Ross (Suzi) Schriever and Glen (Nancy) Schriever. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ludene Howell, a baby sister Susan, and John’s parents W. Clarence and Mary Schriever.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony and loved the Savior.
The family would like to thank the medical people, especially Dr.’s Garry Miller and Kirk Bodily for all that they did for her, enabling her to stay with her family as long as she did.
Her most important goal in life was to raise her children to be responsible adults, in which she succeeded very well. Her joy and happiness along with her ability to endure and lift others was an example to many.
