Janet Mills Carnesecca

Vivian Janet Mills Carnesecca, died April 3, 2008 in Mapleton, Utah. She was born to Mattye Bayley and Walter Francis Mills October 31, 1926 in Salisbury, Maryland. She attended and graduated from Mardela High School, later attending Business College. She married Joseph Carnesecca May 12, 1945 during World War II and traveled with him to various Navel bases, returning with her husband to Mapleton, Utah to work the family fruit farm. She worked in the public at various times between farm activities, but mostly she loved her family, friends and doing for others.



Janet was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Provo and later Orem. She was very active in church and civic affairs. She was the past president of Mapleton Jaycees, Mapleton Auxiliary Fire Department, Women's Catholic Alter Society, Legion of Mary, the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and donated many hours to the Catholic School in Provo.



She opened her heart and home to everyone, but always made YOU feel you were the most important person in her life. Janet remembered every detail and deeply cared for everyone in her life. She always put her family and friends before herself. She was always a class act.



She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph (1989), son David Allan (1978), and her daughter Sherrie Ann (2007). She is survived by two sons: Michael (Ellen) of Heber, Utah and Steven of Mapleton, Utah; daughters-in-law Clo Carnesecca Towers (Jerry) of Murray, Utah and LeAnn Johnson; three grandsons Troy (Jennifer), Tyler and Robert (Aimee); seven granddaughters Gia Muscaro (Michael), Briee Lenhart, Tauni Jacobs (Cole), Krystena, Nicci, Emma Ruth, and Stephanie; and seven great-grandsons. She is also survived by her loving companion, Herb Miner and family whom she loved as her own. They spent many wonderful years together traveling, attending social events, wintering in St. George and summering in Scofield. She also leaves sister-in-law, Lena DeRose; many nieces and nephews; Shauna and the Beauties.



Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT. A rosary will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday evening, followed by a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mortuary. A viewing will also be held Tuesday, one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
