Jack I. Measom
December 17, 1928 — April 18, 2011
Beloved Husband, Cherished Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Jack I. Measom (82) passed away peacefully on April 18, 2011.
Jack was born on December 17, 1928 in Springville to Charles and Helen Measom. He married his sweetheart Leah Burningham on April 18, 1953 and they solemnized their love in the Manti Temple. Together they raised four children: Richard, Kelly, Brad (Britni) Measom, and Debbie (Rich) Chase.
Jack attended school in Springville and served in WWII in Germany. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was active in the LDS church and served in the bishopric, counselor in the high priest quorum, plus many other callings.
He is survived by his wife and children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother, Karl (Laverne) Measom and sister, Shirley Baker. Jack loved his family with all his heart and he had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel, 355 E. Center, Springville, Utah. Friends may call on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. Springville, Utah and on Saturday, one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Springville City Cemetery.
